{"id":14712,"date":"2026-06-24T11:05:43","date_gmt":"2026-06-24T08:05:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newagri.org\/?p=14712"},"modified":"2026-06-24T15:27:58","modified_gmt":"2026-06-24T12:27:58","slug":"agroanelixi-2026-farmers-of-the-future","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newagri.org\/en\/lines-of-action\/agroanelixi-2026-farmers-of-the-future\/","title":{"rendered":"AgroAnelixi 2026 &#8211; Farmers of the Future"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">With a focus on Crete, island and remote areas, the \u201c<strong>Agroanelixi \u2013 Farmers of the Future<\/strong>\u201d programme returns in 2026 for its<strong> 7th consecutive year<\/strong>, supporting producers and small agri-food businesses in enhancing existing products, developing new ones, and strengthening their market presence.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Through training, personalised consulting and hands-on guidance, the programme supports the transition towards the development of high value-added agri-food products, with particular <strong>emphasis on empowering producers from Crete, as well as island and remote regions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">\u201cAgroanelixi \u2013 Farmers of the Future\u201d is a unique business acceleration programme implemented by <strong>New Agriculture New Generation<\/strong>. The programme is <strong>under the auspices of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food<\/strong> and is supported by <strong>PPC<\/strong> and <strong>Reale Foundation<\/strong>, the charitable foundation of Reale Group, of which Ydrogios Insurance has been a member since 2024. The programme aims to strengthen small and growing businesses in the agri-food sector.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The programme offers holistic support to producers and food processing businesses by combining training, consulting and practical guidance, with the goal of developing differentiated and competitive products with export potential.<\/p>\n<h2>Who Can Apply<\/h2>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The programme is addressed to farmers, livestock breeders, beekeepers, producer groups and cooperatives, as well as small food processing businesses and cottage industries seeking to improve existing products, develop new ones and enhance their added value and commercial potential.<\/p>\n<h2>Participating Businesses<\/h2>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><strong>Up to 15 agri-food businesses<\/strong> from across Greece will participate in the programme. Ten places are reserved for businesses from Crete, supported by PPC through its Shared Value Creation initiative \u201c<strong>PPC Active for Society<\/strong>\u201d. Three places are reserved for participants from island and remote areas with the support of Reale Foundation, while up to two places are covered by New Agriculture New Generation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">This allocation enhances access to business support services for producers operating in areas with increased needs and contributes to regional development across the country.<\/p>\n<h2>Programme Structure and Duration<\/h2>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The programme <strong>will run until December 2026<\/strong> and includes specialised online workshops covering topics such as product development, food safety, marketing and branding, sales and exports, as well as business strategy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">In parallel, participants receive personalised consulting support through one-to-one sessions with experienced advisors, on-site visits to production facilities by experts for practical guidance, and networking opportunities with the market and fellow producers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Participation in the programme is provided free of charge.<\/p>\n<h2>Application Period<\/h2>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Application period: <strong>24 June 2026 \u2013 19 July 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Certifications and Additional Benefits<\/h2>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Certificates of completion awarded upon successful completion of the programme are certified by ACTA.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Following examinations, participants also have the opportunity to obtain a Certificate of Attendance in the Food Hygiene and Safety Vocational Training Programme delivered by a certified trainer of EFET (Hellenic Food Authority).<\/p>\n<p>The Specialist Awards offer beneficiaries complimentary participation in tasting awards competitions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With a focus on Crete, island and remote areas, the \u201cAgroanelixi \u2013 Farmers of the Future\u201d programme returns in 2026 for its 7th consecutive year, supporting producers and small agri-food businesses in enhancing existing products, developing new ones, and strengthening their market presence.
