{"id":14919,"date":"2026-07-08T14:01:46","date_gmt":"2026-07-08T11:01:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newagri.org\/?p=14919"},"modified":"2026-07-08T14:01:46","modified_gmt":"2026-07-08T11:01:46","slug":"applications-now-open-for-the-be-future-ready-green-skills-training-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newagri.org\/en\/news\/applications-now-open-for-the-be-future-ready-green-skills-training-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"Applications Now Open for the BE Future READY Green Skills Training Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"PDq2pG_selectionAnchorContainer\" data-section-id=\"1jdg8s4\" data-start=\"147\" data-end=\"298\">Free, certified training in green skills for young people in the agrifood sector \u2014 the first open call of the BE Future READY programme is now live!<\/h2>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">This is the first open training opportunity of the <strong>BE Future READY<\/strong> programme!<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><strong>New Agriculture New Generation<\/strong> is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the <strong>1st Green Skills Training Cycle<\/strong>, the first open educational activity of the <strong>BE Future READY (Bridge to Employment: Future READY)<\/strong> programme.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Implemented by <strong>New Agriculture New Generation<\/strong> in partnership with <strong>ActionAid<\/strong> and with the support of the <strong>Citi Foundation<\/strong>, the programme aims to serve as a meaningful bridge to sustainable employment for more than <strong>500 young people across Greece<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Green Skills Training<\/h2>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The programme consists of <strong>four training cycles<\/strong>, each comprising <strong>60 hours<\/strong> of instruction, with a total capacity of <strong>240 participants<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Participation is <strong>completely free of charge<\/strong> and leads to an <strong>ACTA certification<\/strong> upon successful completion.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The programme will run from <strong>July 2026 through December 2027<\/strong>, with all training delivered <strong>online<\/strong> via <strong>CULTIVATE<\/strong>, New Agriculture New Generation&#8217;s digital learning platform.<\/p>\n<h2>Programme Curriculum<\/h2>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The curriculum has been carefully designed by drawing on New Agriculture New Generation&#8217;s extensive experience in delivering educational programmes and agrifood business acceleration initiatives.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">In addition, the content was informed by a dedicated survey conducted among prospective participants to better understand their interests and learning needs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Training modules include:<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Soil Health and Regenerative Agriculture<\/li>\n<li>Sustainable Business Models (Marketing &amp; Business Model Canvas)<\/li>\n<li>Water Management and Efficient Resource Use<\/li>\n<li>Climate Resilience and Climate Change Adaptation<\/li>\n<li>Renewable Energy and Sustainability<\/li>\n<li>Organic Farming<\/li>\n<li>Biodiversity and Ecosystem Protection<\/li>\n<li>Sustainable Consumer Choices in Food Systems<\/li>\n<li>Carbon Farming<\/li>\n<li>Introduction to Circular Agriculture<\/li>\n<li>Green Technologies and Digital Transformation<\/li>\n<li>Green Certifications, Traceability and ESG in the Agrifood Sector<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The educational material has been developed by experienced agronomists and trainers from New Agriculture New Generation, providing participants with a comprehensive introduction to the agrifood sector, sustainable agricultural practices and emerging technologies.<\/p>\n<h2>Who Can Apply?<\/h2>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The programme is designed for <strong>young people aged 15\u201324<\/strong> who wish to develop new skills or strengthen their employability in the agrifood sector. Selected programme activities are also open to <strong>young adults aged 25\u201329<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Priority will be given to:<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Unemployed and underemployed young people<\/li>\n<li>Young people living in rural and semi-urban areas<\/li>\n<li>Women pursuing careers in the agrifood sector<\/li>\n<li>Young people from low-income households<\/li>\n<li>Young people with migrant or refugee backgrounds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Why Join?<\/h2>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The green transition is creating new demands and opportunities across the labour market.
