The <strong>2nd Meet-Up will take place on Wednesday, 7 October 2026, from 17:00 to 20:30<\/strong>, in the <strong>Multipurpose Hall, 2nd floor, Administration Building, at the Agricultural University of Athens<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Under the theme <strong>\u201cGreen Transition in Agrifood: Innovation and New Challenges\u201d<\/strong>, the second Trophy\u03a4\u03c1\u03bf\u03c6\u03ae 2026 Meet-Up brings together representatives of agrifood businesses, organisations supporting entrepreneurship and innovation, academics, students, researchers and startups. The aim is to highlight the direct connection between the environment, primary production and food, as well as innovative solutions and tools that can contribute to the green transition and a sustainable future.<\/p>\n<p>The Trophy\u03a4\u03c1\u03bf\u03c6\u03ae Meet-Up is supported by <strong>EIT Food GROW<\/strong> and the <strong>Citi Foundation<\/strong>, through the <strong>BE FUTURE READY<\/strong> programme, and is co-organised with the <strong>Agricultural University of Athens<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trophy\u03a4\u03c1\u03bf\u03c6\u03ae<\/strong> is a programme run by <strong>New Agriculture New Generation<\/strong> that mobilises the agrifood innovation ecosystem, enabling new ideas to develop into promising business proposals. It is aimed at students, researchers, farmers, agrifood professionals, startup founders and team members, as well as teams and startups developing\u2014or seeking to develop\u2014innovative products, services and technological solutions in agritech, foodtech and agrologistics.<\/p>\n<p>The event will open with <strong>welcome remarks<\/strong>, followed by an introduction to <strong>Trophy\u03a4\u03c1\u03bf\u03c6\u03ae 2026<\/strong> and the day\u2019s programme.<\/p>\n<p>The first panel discussion, titled <strong>\u201cAgrifood as a Driver of the Green Economy\u201d<\/strong>, will focus on the agrifood sector\u2019s role in strengthening the green economy and on new approaches that can contribute to a more sustainable development model.<\/p>\n<p>The panel will feature:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Vasilis Stenos<\/strong>, Founder &amp; CEO, Solmeyea<\/li>\n<li><strong>Grigoris Moschopoulos<\/strong>, Unit Support Squad Lead, BAYER<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ioannis Zafeiriou<\/strong>, Managing Director, S-CUBE; Agronomist; PhD, Agricultural University of Athens<\/li>\n<li><strong>A representative of an agrifood business<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The panel will be moderated by <strong>Gianna Balafouti<\/strong>, Senior Editor, Cantina &amp; Food Product Development Mentor.<\/p>\n<p>The second panel, titled <strong>\u201cInnovative Tools for the Green Transition and a Sustainable Future\u201d<\/strong>, will highlight the role of innovation and new tools in shaping a greener, more sustainable agrifood sector.<\/p>\n<p>The panel will feature:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>George Lignos<\/strong>, Founder &amp; CEO It\u2019s Alive<\/li>\n<li><strong>Thomas Bartzanas<\/strong>, Professor and Vice-Rector for Research &amp; Innovation, Agricultural University of Athens; Founder, GrowEdge<\/li>\n<li><strong>Konstantinos Demestichas<\/strong>, Professor, Agricultural University of Athens<\/li>\n<li><strong>Panagiotis Papadopoulos<\/strong>, Head &amp; Co-Founder, Open Farm Agora<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The second panel will be moderated by <strong>Katerina Papadouli<\/strong>, Head of the Technology Transfer Office, Agricultural University of Athens.<\/p>\n<p>Following the panels and the audience discussion, the programme will continue with an <strong>ideation workshop<\/strong>, where participants will work on the themes and challenges explored during the event. The Trophy\u03a4\u03c1\u03bf\u03c6\u03ae Meet-Up will conclude with a <strong>presentation of the ideas<\/strong> developed during the workshop.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/XtrhfcWUn4NzwCiLA\">Register to participate.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Bring your idea and let\u2019s develop it together!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>About Trophy\u03a4\u03c1\u03bf\u03c6\u03ae<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>New Agriculture New Generation has been organising Trophy\u03a4\u03c1\u03bf\u03c6\u03ae since 2019, with a founding grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF). To date, the programme has supported more than 150 startups and business ideas, providing access to mentoring, specialised advisory support and an extensive network of contacts in Greece and abroad.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Each Trophy\u03a4\u03c1\u03bf\u03c6\u03ae 2026 Meet-Up selects one winning team, which receives advisory support from KEMEL to further strengthen and develop its business proposal. The winning teams from the Meet-Ups will compete for the overall Trophy\u03a4\u03c1\u03bf\u03c6\u03ae award, which will be announced at Trophy\u03a4\u03c1\u03bf\u03c6\u03ae \u2013 The Event in Thessaloniki.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Trophy\u03a4\u03c1\u03bf\u03c6\u03ae 2026 is supported by the EIT Food GROW Project and the Citi Foundation through the BE FUTURE READY programme, which supports three Meet-Ups and the final event, and provides the cash prize for the overall winning team.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Envolve Entrepreneurship offers the overall winning team a place in the bootcamps of EnvolveXL, its accelerator programme for early-stage startups.
