In the last 5 years, New Agriculture New Generation has supported 33,000+ professionals and 250+ small, family-owned agrifood SMEs and startups, contributing to the establishment of new farmers\u2019 groups and the development of numerous agri-food products. It has created an extensive network of partners and supporters, maintaining a strategic partnership with Rutgers University, USA.<\/p>\n
The organization creates value for the Greek economy with a x6.9 leverage effect, promoting sustainable agriculture and food processing as a career of choice for the younger generation. Its programs enhance climate action, food security, rural development and gender equality, actively contributing to 11 out of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the UN.<\/p>\n
Under Effie\u2019s\u00a0leadership, New Agriculture New Generation\u00a0has\u00a0received\u00a0national and international recognition and distinctions: it\u00a0was acknowledged as\u00a0European Best Practice\u00a0by\u00a0DG Agri,\u00a0European Commission; was\u00a0congratulated by\u00a0the Prime Minister at\u00a0<\/sup>the\u00a086th TIF; participated in\u00a03M Impact Global\u00a0program; participated at the\u00a0ECOSOC Youth Forum 2023\u00a0of the\u00a0United Nations, invited by\u00a0the Hungarian\u00a0Government. Today,\u00a0New Agriculture New generation\u00a0is expanding its activities in the Mediterranean\u00a0with an upcoming collaboration\u00a0with the General Fisheries Commission\u00a0for\u00a0the Mediterranean\u00a0of the\u00a0Food & Agriculture Organization of the United Nations on sustainable aquaculture.<\/p>\n Effie was recognized for her work as an NGO leader in Kathimerini\u2019s\u00a0\u201cWomen\u00a0Leaders\u201d\u00a0publication.
