1st TrophyΤροφή 2026 Meet-Up | Corinth

TrophyΤροφή 2026 kicks off in Corinth with a focus on the circular economy in the agri-food sector

This year’s TrophyΤροφή 2026 gets off to a dynamic start in Corinth. Its first meet-up will take place on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 17:00 to 20:30, at the Port of Corinth.

Under the theme “Circular Customer Experience: How the Circular Economy Adds Value for Customers,” the first TrophyΤροφή 2026 meet-up will bring together professionals, entrepreneurs, institutional representatives and members of the agri-food ecosystem. Its aim is to highlight practices, partnerships and business models that can increase the value of modern agri-food products in line with circular-economy principles.

The meet-up is supported by EIT Food’s Grow initiative, DS Smith and the Corinthia Chamber of Commerce.

TrophyΤροφή is a programme run by the organisation New Agriculture New Generation. It brings the agri-food innovation ecosystem together and helps promising new ideas develop into viable business proposals. It is aimed at students, researchers, farmers, agri-food professionals, startup founders and team members, and groups developing—or seeking to develop—innovative products, services and technological solutions in agri-tech, food tech and agrologistics.

The event will open with remarks from Panagiotis Louziotis, President of the Corinthia Chamber of Commerce; a local government representative; and Theodosis Roussos, Sales Manager at DS Smith Hellas, representing DS Smith.

An introduction to TrophyΤροφή 2026 and the day’s programme will follow, after which DS Smith will present selected case studies.

The first panel, “Modern agri-food products and the circular economy: Creating value in the market,” will focus on how the circular economy can support the development of modern agri-food products and create added value in the marketplace.

Panel participants:

  • Zachos Agkistriotis, President, Xenios Zeus – Loutraki Food Service Association

  • Christos Sellas, Owner, Sellas Olive House

  • Fanis Kourempes, Agronomist and Board Member, Geotechnical Chamber of Greece

  • A company representative, Mitsiopoulos Farm

The second panel, “Partnerships and business models in agri-food: The circular-economy perspective,” will explore how partnerships, effective resource management and new business models can help shape a more circular and resilient agri-food sector.

Panel participants:

  • Panagiotis Stamatopoulos, Agronomist and Founder, BIOSE

  • Ioannis Smyrniotis, President, Peloponnese Regional Waste Management Agency (FoDSA)

  • Diogenis Vakontios, General Manager, E.K.AN. – POLYGREEN S.A.

  • Eleni Nikitea, Commercial Director, MEGAECO

Journalist Theodosis Piperis will moderate both panels.

After the panels and a discussion with the audience, the programme will continue with an idea-generation workshop. Participants will work hands-on to address challenges facing the agri-food sector. The meet-up will conclude with presentations of the ideas developed during the workshop.

Bring your idea, and let’s develop it together!

About TrophyΤροφή

New Agriculture New Generation has organised TrophyΤροφή since 2019, thanks to a founding grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF). To date, the programme has supported more than 150 startups and business ideas, giving them access to mentoring, specialised advice and an extensive network of contacts in Greece and abroad.

After Corinth, the next TrophyΤροφή meet-up will take place on Wednesday, October 7, at the Agricultural University of Athens. Meet-ups in Thessaloniki, Larissa and Florina will follow.

One winning team will be selected at each TrophyΤροφή 2026 meet-up. Each team will receive advisory support from KEMEL to help strengthen and develop its business proposal. The meet-up winners will compete for the overall TrophyΤροφή distinction, to be announced at TrophyΤροφή – The Event in Thessaloniki.

TrophyΤροφή 2026 is supported by EIT Food’s GROW project and by the Citi Foundation through its BE FUTURE READY programme, which supports three meet-ups and the final event and provides the cash prize for the overall winning team.

Envolve Entrepreneurship will offer the overall winning team a place in the bootcamps of EnvolveXL, an accelerator programme for early-stage startups. The programme also receives additional support, and two meet-ups are being held with the generous support of DS Smith.

Note: The supplied text names the Port of Corinth as the first meet-up venue, while the linked programme page lists the Corinthia Chamber of Commerce. Check the venue with the organisers before travelling.
