meet up 4

The 4th TrophyΤροφή Meet-Up of 2026 brings together research, technology and entrepreneurship on 3 November at the University of Thessaly, under the theme “From the Field to the Foods of Tomorrow”
Agrifood innovation takes centre stage at the 4th TrophyΤροφή Meet-Up of 2026, which will take place on Tuesday, 3 November, at 17:00 in Larissa, under the theme “From the Field to the Foods of Tomorrow”. The event will be held in Room 1, on the ground floor of the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, School of Health Sciences, University of Thessaly, in Mezourlo.

Organised as part of the TrophyΤροφή 2026 initiative by New Agriculture New Generation, the meet-up aims to highlight the direct connection between the environment, the primary sector and food. Students, researchers and startups will have the opportunity to meet representatives of agrifood businesses, entrepreneurship support organisations and academics, engaging in a dialogue on the opportunities that research and technology create throughout the journey from the field to the foods of tomorrow.

In the first part of the event, the central theme, “From the Field to the Foods of Tomorrow”, will be explored through two panel discussions:

“Functionality and High-Value Agrifood Products”

“Partnerships and New Models in Agrifood”

Representatives of businesses, entrepreneurship support organisations and the academic community will share knowledge and experience, highlighting the links between research, technology, production and the market. In the second part, participants will move from discussion to creation through a short business ideation workshop, drawing on the themes explored during the panels.

The workshop will provide a space for presenting ideas and projects, exchanging views and networking. The team selected through a vote will receive advisory support to further develop its business proposal. It will then compete against the winning teams from the other TrophyΤροφή Meet-Ups across Greece to determine the overall winning team of TrophyΤροφή 2026.

Now in their fifth year, the TrophyΤροφή Meet-Ups strengthen dialogue on agrifood innovation and technology in Greece. Through collaboration between businesses, research organisations and universities, they highlight opportunities, trends and good practices, building bridges between knowledge and entrepreneurship.

Participation is free, and certificates of attendance will be provided. Register via the online registration form.
