The TrophyΤροφή program, launching on March 12, annually identifies and showcases innovative ideas that have the potential to transform the Greek agri-food ecosystem.
Implemented by New Agriculture New Generation through a founding donation from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), the program brings together universities, students, researchers, innovative businesses, and research organizations to explore new ideas for the evolution of the agri-food sector.
TrophyΤροφή is essentially a series of Meet-ups held in selected locations across Greece. Students, startuppers, and young scientists from the agri-food industry will have the opportunity to present their ideas, promoting new, sustainable, and differentiated business proposals. At the same time, participants will have the chance to network with other industry professionals and receive guidance from leading experts.
A total of 8 TrophyΤροφή Meet-ups will take place in 7 cities across Greece, specifically in Kavala, Thessaloniki (2 Meet-ups), Katerini, Florina, Athens, Corinth, and Ierapetra. Each Meet-up will host multiple panels & fireside chats, featuring experienced entrepreneurs, academics, and industry experts, providing valuable insights to participants.
Three of the Meet-ups will be generously supported by DS Smith.
The best ideas from each Meet-up will compete through an online evaluation and voting process by a committee of experts, with the winning team announced at the TrophyΤροφή Final Event at the end of the year.

For the three Meet-ups supported by DS Smith (March 31, May 6, and October 14), the company will offer a paid internship to one participant from the competing teams.

First TrophyΤροφή Meet-up: March 12 in Thessaloniki
The first TrophyΤροφή Meet-up, themed “Circular Economy in Agri-Food: Utilization of By-products and Resource Reuse,” will take place on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the Research Results Dissemination Center (KE.D.E.A.).

Since its launch in 2019, New Agriculture New Generation has organized TrophyΤροφή, collaborating with numerous universities, research institutes, multinational companies, and venture capital firms.
To date, the initiative has supported over 150 startups, providing them with mentorship, networking opportunities, and commercial guidance to tackle modern challenges in the agri-food industry in Greece and abroad.
